ANVIL ASSIST

The ANVIL Group has partnered with Europ Assistance to create a combined global medical and security assistance platform known as ANVIL ASSIST. This unrivalled union provides global corporations with first-rate standards of medical practice and security protection for their travelling employees.

Established in 1963, Europ Assistance was the world's very first medical emergency and disaster assistance company, and continues today to be a pioneer in the provision of assistance services.

Between the two companies, we have a robust global presence, including 36 subsidiary companies and 39 assistance centres, supported by over 410,000 approved assistance partners.

  • 6,800 employees
  • 400 healthcare professionals
  • 80 consolidated companies in 36 countries
  • 208 countries and territories covered by the group's agents
  • 32,000 medical repatriations performed globally in 2009
  • 5,800 flying hours spent repatriating patients during 2009

Should your employees require assistance whilst travelling or on assignment, they need to make just one call to receive immediate help. Our assistance centres are staffed with multilingual medical and security trained case handlers, and are operational 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our highly experienced operatives can be depended on for their technical competence, as well as their expert ability to comfort and reassure callers at times of great anxiety, whilst remaining focussed on determining the best course of action to mitigate further distress.

Each case is handled diligently and in line with our client's own particular incident response processes and crisis management plans.

We maintain a global database of hospitals and clinics, which are regularly and rigorously audited to ensure the level of care and facilities match the expectations of a discerning end user.

All calls to the service are first answered by a medical specialist, knowledgeable about the local medical capabilities and issues relevant to the caller's particular circumstances. Unlike many assistance companies our medical professionals are on site 24/7.

Should local facilities prove to be unsuitable for the treatment and care of the patient, our rapid response medical teams will facilitate evacuations or repatriations utilising medically equipped ground and air transportation.

Typical Assistance Services include:

  • Arranging appointments with doctors, clinics, hospitals and ambulance providers
  • Arranging hospital admissions and payment guarantees

  • Assisting travellers who have been detained or arrested
