Close Protection
The ANVIL Group was incorporated in 1988, at which time our core activity was the provision of close protection services to senior executives of global corporations. Today we are still considered one of the few internationally operating companies capable of delivering expertly managed, intelligence-led protection services.
In November 2008, The British Standards Institution (BSI) issued a new Code of Practice, BS 8507, providing recommendations for the management, staffing and operational accountability for the provision of Close Protection Services. The BSI has a globally recognised reputation for independence, integrity and innovation in the production of standards that promote best practice.
The ANVIL Group's CEO, John Greenslade, is a member of The BSI Technical Committee who assisted in the preparation of this industry leading standard.
In addition, The ANVIL Group was the first company in the United Kingdom to be accredited as an Approved Contractor by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
The ANVIL Group expects the highest standards of conduct from all its employees and representatives whilst carrying out security services, and insists that employees sign a Code of Conduct requiring them to behave in a manner that ensures exemplary service and professionalism for our clients. Security personnel are required at all times to adhere and comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), which are tailored to each assignment.
