Job summary

The successful Client Relations Manager will improve market positioning by understanding what a best in class travel risk management program consists of and will further integrate Anvil’s services into existing relationships. This will be done through effectively leveraging Anvil’s various areas of expertise to improve client awareness of our capabilities.

The Client Relations Manager will manage and protect the relationship between Anvil and its clients. The Client Relations Manager will aim to maximize long-term revenue opportunities by becoming a trusted adviser to clients and strengthening their loyalty. They will ensure the highest standards of professionalism are exhibited at all times by all team members.

In addition, they will work closely with the Sales Consultants to ensure that existing Anvil relationships are transitioned in an efficient manner while ensuring clients receive the highest levels of service and product delivery to ensure contract retention and renewal.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Effective management and retention of existing client relationships
  • Develop an understanding of travel risk management and Anvil’s service offerings to identify and develop opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technical and business challenges clients face to identify opportunities to increase sales of products and services that meet those needs
  • Monitor and analyze competitive activities to assess any threat to important clients
  • Use account knowledge to set revenue targets and identify the resources needed to meet them
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the wider risk and security industries to enable a very consultative approach in dealings with clients, and to be considered an “expert” in their field
  • Maintain regular client meetings to build relationships and develop opportunities
  • Utilize internal technology solutions to manage client details, needs, and special requests
  • Develop practices to gather and measure client satisfaction/feedback
  • Build relationships with different members of the client team who make or influence purchasing decisions
  • Build relationships with clients based on trust and value
  • Work with clients to help them improve business performance and profitability
  • Develop relationships based on value to overcome issues of price and create strong barriers to competition
  • Close and grow business based on a mutually agreeable set of expectations while operating within a sales quota system

 

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Accounting
  • Experience managing the client relationship cycle from targeting and engagement through to pitch, delivery, and retention
  • Proven track record of existing client management
  • Experience of operating in a business services sales environment, ideally in consulting services sales
  • Ability to manage multiple client responsibilities concurrently
  • Understanding of common business, technical, financial, and legal practices
  • Outstanding presentation skills; charismatic, confident, persuasive, and effective in communicating, both in writing and verbally
  • Excellent relationship management skills with a track record of developing long-term client partnerships
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strategic thinker; able to conceive, execute, and deliver process improvement plans
  • Strong technical acumen (MS Office)
